I live in Richmond, Virginia with my wife Rachel and our three demonic overlords - Brian, Hayden, and Alison Rose - camouflaged here as innocent, human children.  Note the diabolical glint in their eyes and the you cannot escape us looks on their serene little faces . . .

When the overlords are in the Underworld studying their nefarious arts, I can either be found tinkering with my latest novel, playing with my website, or puttering about my workshop, trying not to chop off any fingers.

Professionally speaking, I worked as a physician until a few years ago.  But medicine has changed, and not for the better.  Thus, when the stars aligned, I decided to leave healthcare and step through a door I’d cracked open in the summer between high school and college when I’d first begun toying with the idea of becoming an author.  The flame re-ignited, I found my niche, and I’ve been writing ever since.
