Physical Description:

Stocky dwarven woman with a belly length beard and an innately friendly disposition that's being squashed by the weight of the world which rests squarely on her shoulders. Maxim can sometimes be seen wearing the Helm of Devotion, sitting the Palm (a great seat on the palm of a thirty foot stone statue of Okuveurr, from which the First, Second, and Third Drachlars may adjudicate matters of law).  As Stone Seeress, she periodically opens the Eye of the Spire which sits atop the thousand foot tower protruding from the heart of Thunderstone Castle.

Background:

Maxim Swiftfist is the leader of the Sparkfirian Dwarves, and she has the impossible task of defending the Child of Stone from his abusive father and delivering her people from the evil that's rotting the mountain's core.  As Third Drachlar, she's in charge of governing Sparkfire.  As Chief Healer, she runs the dwarven infirmary - the Folded Wing. So too is she Lord Okuveurr's supreme Highpriestess and a visionary, the first Seeress of the Stones to have graced Sparkfire in over a thousand years. That Maxim is under attack by the despicable Order of Purists should come as no surprise.  That she doesn't quite seem up to the task, however, strikes me as curious indeed . . .
