Physical Description:

Hovel is an alcoholic, and at times his normally flat belly is distended by fluid (ascites) and his skin and eyes become tinged with yellow.  Hovel aslo suffers from psoriasis, and is plagued by pink mounds of skin covered with silvery scales - especially on his elbows/knees, and scalp.

Background:

Hovel Stonecracker is an abusive drunk - a rarity amongst the goodly dwarven people - and to his son's ill fortune, Hovel is possessed of a Tear, an ancient torture device created by Loki's daughter Hel, an item whose use has previously led the dwarves to go to war.  Hovel's ambition is to ascend the ranks of the Purist Brotherhood so he can demand a spit of respect.
